EtsySafe is a Chrome extension that scans Etsy listing pages for trademarked words and suggests safe alternatives. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Data Collection

EtsySafe does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:

• No browsing history is collected
• No listing content is sent to any server
• No analytics or tracking tools are used
• No cookies are set
• No advertising SDKs are included
• No user accounts are required

How the Extension Works

All trademark scanning happens locally in your browser. The extension reads the title, description, and tags on the currently open Etsy listing page and compares them against a trademark database bundled within the extension. No listing data ever leaves your device.

Data Stored Locally

The extension stores the following data locally on your device using Chrome's storage API:

• Free scan counter (a number)
• Pro license activation status (true/false)
• License key (if you activate Pro)

This data stays on your device and is never transmitted externally.
